Dancing with Richard Serra's "Áfangar" in Iceland - breathtaking!

Áfangar is an environmental work spread out over the western part of Videy island, strongly influencing visitors’ experience of the natural surroundings. The work is made from basalt organ pipes, referencing the geological history of the island. The work is unique in Serra’s oeuvre because of its scale and the material as this is the artist’s only large-scale work made of stone.
